The double price tag, and why it carries a date
A converted figure without a date is a price claim nobody can verify.

Every price on this site shows twice: what the seller charges, and roughly what that is in the other currency.
The second one always carries a date
An approximation without the rate and the day it came from is not information, it is a number that will be wrong next week and that somebody will screenshot. With the date attached it becomes checkable, which is the whole point.
And it never goes into the markup
Structured data carries the charged price only. Emitting the approximation as a machine-readable offer would tell every consumer the item is available at that figure, and destroy exactly the credibility the double tag exists to protect.
